To build capacity in the Youth Work sector by facilitating the development of:

Becoming the support and Advocacy body for Youth Work paid and voluntary in Aotearoa

Making sure we represent the diversity of Youth Work in Aotearoa

Youth Work as a recognised and unique profession - wages/salary, career paths, support, identity, a unique definition

Advancing the development of Youth Work by offering support and a voice for local/regional Youth Worker Networks and national youth organisations throughout the country

Establishing Youth Work as a nationally recognised profession and an essential volunteer practice

Facilitating advocacy, information, advice, events and support services with Youth Workers

Developing partnerships with Government agencies, private enterprise and other NGO’s for the benefit of Youth Work and the youth sector in Aotearoa

Establishing a national code of ethics for youth work and accessible training opportunities for paid and voluntary youth workers

Undertake research to further advance the development of Youth Work
