Outward Bound /NYWNA "Connect" Course

Based upon Outward Bound’s Classic course this course has been designed to: Strengthen National Council, Build quality Youth Work relationships, Connect Youth Workers across Aotearoa, Strengthen Regional Networks, and reflect on ‘How do I fit in the bigger picture of Youth Work’.

Classic is an 21 day Outward Bound experience. You will discover your potential in the sea, rivers, native bush and mountains that encompass the Outward Bound environment. Life balance takes on a new meaning when you are walking on a log 40 feet above the ground. This challenging course will enable you to have some time-out to reflect and push your limits.

COURSE FEE
The course fee for Classic is usually $3,500 including GST. This includes all accommodation, equipment, food and two highly qualified instructors.
This course has been created to support NYWNA and has been funded by the Outward Bound Foundation to support Youthwork development in Aotearoa.
The cost to you is $500 deposit for course fees, the commitment to fundraise a like amount with Outward Bound support in addition to the travel costs and fees incurred to gaining a doctor’s medical.

COURSE DATES:
There are two NYWNA Connect courses available.
There is a Maximum of 14 places of each course.
There must be a minimum of 12 people per course.
