Organisation Structure

NYWNA is registered as an Incorporated Society under the Incorporated Socieities Act (1908).

The membership of NYWNA are the regional youth worker networks and national youth organisations that have completed and signed a membership agreement.

One representative from each member organisation makes up the NYWNA National Council.

The National Council meet at the NYWNA Annual General Meeting and elect the Board of NYWNA – usually made up of 10 individuals from the National Council including members of Te Roopuu, the Maori membership of NYWNA. The National Council are the body that can approve changes to the Constitution of NYWNA.

The Board are responsible for the ongoing governance of the organisation including the employment of a Director/CEO who is responsible for managing all activities, staff and operations of the organisation.
